REIMAGINING THE SYMPHONY EXPERIENCE
IN THE AGE OF COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has given the Coeur d’Alene Symphony time to reimagine how the 2020-2021 season might look, sound and feel.

Nothing can replace coming to a concert hall to experience the excitement of live music-making by an orchestra but we can in these challenging times reimagine a new way that innovates our music-making to give you a unique and entertaining experience.

This season we are launching a CHAMBER CONCERT SERIES to do just that.  We have reimagined our classical music program, reimagined our seating for musicians, and reimaged the concert experience itself for our patrons, donors, and concert-goers to provide everyone with a safe environment to enjoy the season.

Join us in creating this  CHAMBER CONCERT SERIES reimagined season!  Show your support for the CSO with your FANtastic Face!  Your $100 donation, a portion of which will be tax-deductible, will provide you with the following benefits:

  • Free live streaming to all five Chamber Music performances (see below)

  • First priority to RSVP to attend one or more of our five performances in person (venue protocols permitting; seating may be limited so an RSVP will be required to secure your seat!)

  • And as a unique bonus you’ll enjoy seeing your FANtastic Face – a life-size face cut-out of you – placed in the audience.  (You will receive instructions by email from CSO staff about how and where to submit your photo for the life-size cut-out.)

COMING SOON: You may also simply purchase individual  tickets to the any of the
live streaming events.

Our planned concert series for the 2020-2021 season which was originally scheduled to be held at the Schuler Center for Performing Arts has been postponed until 2021-2022 as NIC will only be open to students, staff and faculty due to COVID-19.

Thanks to the hospitality of the First Baptist Church and the Salvation Army KROC Center, the CSO Symphony will be performing a Chamber Music series as reduced ensembles in those venues.

The November and December concerts will be performed in the First Baptist Church and livestreamed only, but your FANtastic Faces will be on full display!

The January, March, and April concerts will be performed in and livestreamed from the KROC Center Theater. Venue-permitting, a limited audience will be in attendance.  Our FANtastic Faces supporters will have the first opportunity to attend in person and will still be able to listen through  livestreaming.

NOTE: Capacity at the KROC may be limited due to social distancing requirements but we will still fill up the theater with your FANtastic Faces!  Musicians will also be seated on stage in accordance with social distancing guidelines.

Please join us in reimagining our musical experience together this season and  thank you for your support!
