The Coeur d’Alene Symphony League was formed in 2003 by a group of devoted music lovers with a vision of providing support for the Coeur d’Alene Symphony Orchestra. Included in the vision was an education experience for the members in the form of an Enrichment Program. The day prior to each scheduled concert, the next evening’s concert guest artist has been invited to discuss composers, instruments, music, and the arts with our members & guests. These no-host luncheons will be held at the Bonsai Bistro in Coeur d’Alene from 12 to 1:30 pm.

As most good concepts do, the League’s has grown to include an ever-evolving variety of fundraising events. Just as importantly, the League has provided social and cultural opportunities for its members.

The League’s “A Classical Country Moment” Bar-B-Q will be held July 25, 2009, at The Shrine Club. This is just one of the many activities undertaken by this group of dedicated volunteers. A series of pre-concert lectures will be held in Boswell Hall this season at 6:45 pm preceding each concert in Schuler Auditorium. Also, there will be two drawings sponsored by the League, with tickets available in the lobby at each concert to benefit our Orchestra.

Membership in the league is only $15 per year (individual) or $25 per year (family).

For a calendar of events or information on how to join this enthusiastic group, contact: Carole Winn, League President, at (208) 660-3116 or Martin MacAlpine, Vice President, at (208) 215-4456.
